Sunday
School
What Is Sunday
School?
Sunday School is a
program offered on Sunday mornings at Trinity. Classes are
offered for age three through high school.
The goal of our Sunday
School is to teach God's truth to our children, assist families
in the spiritual education of their children and show our
children that their faith is relevant now and will be throughout
their adult lives.
Mission Statement of Trinity
Lutheran Sunday School
The Sunday School
of Trinity Lutheran Church functions for one and only one
purpose: "To
make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name
of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and
teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you." (Matthew
28:19-20)
Disciple making is
not an isolated incident or experience, but rather a lifelong
process of Christian growth, development, and learning. A
primary concern of our Sunday School is to nurture the faith
development of those children and young adults entrusted
to our spiritual care.
Church Attendance
Sunday School
is not church. We strongly encourage you to worship as
a family on Sunday mornings with the Body of Christ here
at Trinity.
Our great God is worthy
of worship and much praise. Our worship of Him should be
the very best we can offer.
Bring A Friend To Sunday School
The goal of our
Sunday School is not only to teach God's truth to our children,
but also to encourage them to be witnesses to the world.
Our Lord has commanded, "Go and Teach." Therefore,
as part of this challenge and as part of Trinity's commitment
to fulfilling this great Commission, children and parents
are encouraged to bring others to our Sunday School program.
Visiting Sunday School
Parents and guardians
have the privilege and are encouraged to visit classe at
any time. However, discussions about children, procedures,
etc. should be reserved for after the Sunday School hour
as teachers need the time prior to Sunday School to prepare
for the day's lesson.
How Can Parents Help?
Please, pray for
our ministry. In addition to attending worship together as
a family, bring your children to Sunday School, and show
your enthusiasm to them. Attend adult education classes to
grow in your own faith and relationship with our Savior.
Children learn from our example. Volunteer to be a parent
helper several times a year. |
